QCJC, Legal Aid Queensland and Court Network

QCJC, Legal Aid Queensland and Court Network are presently in discussions with respect to both the increased utilisation of court volunteers and training of lawyers and judicial officers with respect to issues relating to disability and the Queensland criminal justice system.
"We've been working closely with Court Network, training their volunteers across the State. We see real opportunities through the enhanced use of volunteers in diverting vulnerable defendants to appropriate interventions," Project Coordinator Sue Gordon said.
QCJC, Legal Aid Queensland and Court Network are presently working on a proposal for the Queensland Attorney General.
